Julia Ridley Smith’s fiction has appeared in American Literary Review, Arts and Letters, the Carolina Quarterly, Chelsea, the Greensboro Review, and storySouth, among other places. New work is forthcoming in the Alaska Quarterly Review and Southern Cultures. Her book and art reviews have been published in Art Papers, Our State, the Raleigh News and Observer, and elsewhere. A freelance copyeditor of academic books, she is also an associate editor at Bull City Press and prose editor of Inch Magazine. She is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and Sarah Lawrence College and lives in Greensboro, North Carolina.
