Know Your Rights Training with ACLU of NC

Know Your Rights Training with ACLU of NC

Monday, August 12, 7pm

Everyone has basic rights under the U.S. Constitution and civil rights laws. Learn more here about what your rights are, how to exercise them, and what to do when your rights are violated. Which questions from law enforcement are you required to answer? Is it legal to film police officers? Can you intercede during an ICE raid? What questions do you have about your rights and law enforcement in our city, state, and country? Attorneys Katrina Braun and Sneha Shah, from the American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina, will be on hand to answer your questions.

Since 1965, the ACLU of North Carolina has been our state’s guardian of liberty – working in courts, the General Assembly, and communities to protect and advance civil rights and civil liberties for all North Carolinians. A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization with more than 30,000 members and supporters across the state, the ACLU of North Carolina is a state affiliate of the national American Civil Liberties Union.
