PATHS TO PUBLISHING with Mariana Llanos
In Paths to Publishing, Mariana will discuss her unique publishing journey and will lay out several different approaches to publishing. From self-publishing to traditional publishing to getting an agent, she'll share a wealth of information to help hopeful authors make informed decisions.
Mariana Llanos is a Peruvian-born writer of children's literature. She has published several children's books, including the bilingual Luca's Bridge/El puente de Luca and Eunice & Kate from Penny Candy Books, and the award-winning bilingual books Kutu, The Tiny Inca Princess; Poesia Alada; and Tristan Wolf. In 2017, Mariana received the Oklahoma Human Rights Award for her work visiting schools around the world via virtual technology, to promote literacy. That same year she was selected as the Best Latino Artist by the Hispanic Arts Council of Oklahoma.
Five Ways of Looking at Children's Publishing is a series of five workshops on Writing and Publishing for children. Each workshop is presented by a successful children's author.
