UNCG MFA Reading: Claire Denson and Sara Graybeal

The MFA Writing Program at UNC Greensboro will host a poetry and fiction reading by Claire Denson and Sara Graybeal. A part of the MFA Writing Program's 2020 Thesis Reading Series, the event is free and open to the public.

Claire Denson is an MFA poetry candidate at UNCG, where she currently teaches. Claire earned her BA with High Distinction from the University of Michigan, and she’s attended The Martha's Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing on the Author and Poet Scholarship. She writes primarily about intimacy and its failings. Her work is published in Hobart, The Lit Pub, Crab Fat Magazine, and elsewhere.

Sara Graybeal is a fiction writer, poet, and teaching artist from Pittsboro, North Carolina. She is the founder and former artistic director of the Poeticians, a neighborhood Hip-Hop and spoken word collective in Philadelphia. Her work has been published in Philadelphia Stories, Moon City Review, Sixfold, Floating Bridge Review, and Tempered Magazine, among others, and her poem "Point Breeze, 2015," received a Pushcart nomination. She is currently completing an MFA in Fiction at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
