UNCG MFA Reading: Kathy Contant and Julia Edwards

The MFA Writing Program at UNC Greensboro will host a fiction and poetry reading by Kathy Contant and Julia Edwards. A part of the MFA Writing Program's 2020 Thesis Reading Series, the event is free and open to the public.

Kathy Contant is an MFA candidate in Fiction at UNC Greensboro. She lives in Greensboro with her husband and two cats. She is also the mother of three children, each of whom have inspired her in her work. She was a finalist in the 47th New Millennium Writing Awards and has been accepted to the 2019 Lighthouse Writers Group and the 2020 Southampton Nonfiction Writers Workshop. Her work can be found in Semicolon Lit.

Julia Edwards is a poet/writer from New York. Her work has appeared in Bat City Review, Brooklyn Magazine, Breadcrumbs Mag, and Across The Margin, among others. She is an MFA candidate in poetry at The University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
